Entrepreneur/Venture Capital Networking Luncheon Fall Schedule Concludes With Success
NVCA and AEEG's entrepreneurial and venture capital networking 2000 luncheon series concluded with luncheons held in Boston and Silicon Valley.
In September, the annual Boston networking luncheon, sponsored by Silicon Valley Bank and hosted by NVCA, AEEG, and New England Venture Capital Association (NEVCA) attracted more than 200 people to hear the keynote address given by Ariba, Inc.s President, Asif Satchu and CEO, Jon Burgsstone. Ariba, Inc. was formerly known as SupplierMarket.com. Co-founders Mr. Satchu and Mr. Burgstone told the story of how SupplierMarket.com went from rags to riches in a little over a years time.
We concluded the networking luncheon schedule for the year with December's Silicon Valley luncheon. Vcapital.com proudly sponsored the luncheon and Western Association of Venture Capitalists (WAVC) co-hosted along with NVCA and AEEG. Over 300 attended to hear Professor and Chairman of Stanford University School of Medicine's David Botstein. Dr. Botstein's presentation informed the audience about genomic approaches to cancer diagnosis and therapy.
