NVCA is open by invitation to all professional venture capital firms and corporate venture capital investors who are responsible for investing risk capital in developing companies or industries on a professional basis. Representation

 

NVCA is the leading public policy advocate for the venture capital industry. NVCA works with all branches of government, the media and organizations nationwide to foster a better understanding of how entrepreneurship and venture capital impacts the U.S. economy. In addition, NVCA provides many opportunities for venture capitalists and entrepreneurs to become active in the policy formation process. Professional Development

NVCA's professional development programs are designed to enhance knowledge and encourage the sharing of information on best practices, industry trends, research, and strategy. NVCA holds regular webcasts on topics important to the venture community as well as periodic in-person meetings. Members also reap professional development benefits from NVCA publications, member-wide teleconferences, member peer group activities and information found on the NVCA website. Networking

Throughout the year, NVCA hosts several networking events designed to enhance members' contacts, professional development and deal flow. Member Peer Groups

Recognizing that the venture capital industry has become increasingly specialized and that members benefit greatly by having the opportunity to network with their peers who have similar investment interests as well as professional responsibilities, NVCA membership offers the opportunity to participate in several member peer groups that facilitate peer to peer interaction and knowledge sharing. These groups include: NVCA Cleantech Council, Medical & Innovation Competitiveness Coalition (MedIC), NVCA Corporate Venture Group, NVCA CFO Taskforce, NVCA Strategic Communications Group (Stratcom), and the Growth Equity Group. NVCA publishes quarterly venture capital industry statistics in conjunction with its research partners: Thomson Reuters, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Cambridge Associates. Philanthropy & Social Entrepreneurship

NVCA has aligned with Fidelity Charitable (SM), a national donor-advised fund program, to bring expertise, experience, and efficiency to those who would like to simplify their charitable giving and potentially minimize their taxes. With a donor-advised fund, your contributions have the potential to grow so you can give even more support to the causes you care about.
